Canterbury Plunket anticipates that the Plunket service will look different in the short term. It is connecting with clients who have babies under 12 months with the assistance of Plunket staff around NZ.
For those Christchurch families that have moved out of the area please contact the local Plunket service where you are now living to find out how they can best support you. Canterbury Plunket would like clients who have moved within the city and /or changed their phone details to phone on 03 366 0765 with their new details.

Lyttelton clinic is damaged. In the meantime the PN will work out of the Lyttelton Medical Centre. Sumner clinic and Redcliffs clinics are both closed. In the meantime clinics will be held in the optician/physio rooms in Augusta Street, Redcliffs. The Woolston clinic is unusable until the Salvation Army building next door is demolished. In the meantime clinics are being held in the St John’s Church opposite the clinic
Support services in other areas are being increased as families from Christchurch continue to move out of Canterbury. Please ring the local area office to find out what is available in your area.

Public transport information
Clients needing to access public transport to the Family Centre at their temporary home at Bishopdale Plunket Rooms can use the following buses.
• No 14 - Harewood: Departing town from the corner of Bealey Avenue and Durham St North hourly at 39 mins past hour. Service runs to Bishopdale Mall via Victoria St, St Albans St, Edgeware Rd, Cranford St, Main North Road, Sawyers Arms Road, Gardiners Rd, Breens Rd, Isleworth Rd and onto Raleigh St, ending by Bishopdale Mall. Return service leaves Bishopdale Mall hourly on the hour.
• No 15 - Bishopdale: departing town from Bealey Ave/Durham St hourly on the hour. Service runs to Farrington Avenue via Springfield Rd, Bealey Ave Carlton Mill Rd, Rossall St, Glandovey Rd, Idris Rd, Condell Avenue across Greers Road to Farrington Avenue near the shopping centre. Return service leaves Farrington Ave hourly at 30 mins past the hour.
• No 9 - Wairakei: departing town from Bealey Ave/Durham St Nth hourly on the hour. Travels via Springfield Rd, Bealey Ave Carlton Mill Rd, Rossall St, Strowan Road and Wairakei Rd to Sheffield Crescent. You will need to hop off the bus by the corner of Wairakei Rd and Farrington Avenue and walk down to the other end of Farrington Avenue.
• Clients busing in from the south of the city whose services terminate at Parkside (outside Hagley Park across from the hospital) should catch the green Orbiter bus marked "link service" to the Bealey Ave terminus.
• The no 9 bus will also take Bishopdale clients needing to access Avonhead clinic to the corner of Wairakei Rd and Kendal Avenue.
All travel is free until 17 March.
