Friends of Plunket

Plunket is privileged to be supported by some high profile Kiwi personalities. Our friends generously give us their time and talent for free.

They support us to get messages and important information into New Zealand communities. Sometimes our friends have a particular Plunket service they care passionately about and will lend the voice to help us communicate particular initiatives and resources nationally or at a local level.

If you think you might be able to add your support to Plunket as a Friend please get in touch with us.

    Michele A’Court

Michele A’Court was voted Female Comedian of the Decade at the most recent Comedy Guild Awards. A regular guest on TV3’s 7 Days, she is also a freelance writer with a weekly column in the Christchurch Press and turns up regularly on various radio networks as a social commentator.

She puts her energy and stamina down to being a Plunket baby almost half a century ago and, 18 years after the birth of her own daughter, is still grateful to Plunket for helping them both through those first few months.

Michele enthusiastically – and literally – lends her voice to Plunket’s promotional campaigns.

  • Jackie-Clarke.jpg

    Jackie Clarke

Jackie Clarke gave up house cleaning when she discovered people would pay to hear her sing. Once she realised live performance was a license to play dress up, her career path was set. Consequently she’s performed with everyone from the NZSO to Dave Dobbyn and beyond!

Jackie is no stranger to television or stage, and loves belting out the odd show tune. She even finds time to sing in the a cappella gospel choir Jubilation as well as powerhouse vocal quartet The Lady Killers. Jackie is also a sought after MC at corporate events because she can speak and sing and scrubs up reasonably well in a sparkly frock!

Plunket is delighted that Jackie generously lends her time, both at national events and donating her considerable talents for our charity auctions.

    Lisa O'Neill

Fashion stylist and motivational speaker Lisa O’Neill has been running workshops for the past five years to help women to look the very best they can.

Lisa says she “loves the challenge of working with women who have given up all hope of looking good, because of a change in body shape or income. Many women I work with are shopping constantly but still have ‘nothing to wear’. My philosophy is that having the right stuff is better than having lots of stuff”

Plunket is proud to partner with Lisa and Farmers to present What a Woman Wants, a fabulous, fun show for all ages.
