The Dunedin Plunket Family Centre is offering parenting information and support to families and whānau with babies and toddlers displaced after the Christchurch earthquake.
The centre also has breastpumps and a small range of clothing available. Although it is preferable for people to book so waiting times can be managed, the centre doors are open for those who turn up without an appointment.

Plunket Nurses and Well Child Checks
Well child checks for babies who have not been seen by a Plunket Nurse in Christchurch yet (those with very young babies under two months) will be prioritised. Parents are asked to make appointments for these checks by phoning 03 4740 490.
Car seats, strollers and portacots
Car seats, a small number of portacots and strollers are available at the Car Seat Rental Scheme in Hillside Road, Dunedin.

Opening hours: Monday—Friday 9am-3pm with extended hours on Thursday till 5.30 Saturday 10am-2pm

Referrals
Plunket is able to refer families to other services as needed once an assessment of the needs of the family has been made. The volunteer network is also able to coordinate some donations of clothing and toys if needed.
