Plunket services now available in Christchurch

While normal services remain suspended in Christchurch, Plunket is working with a number of other organisations to provide as many services as possible.

Plunket is operating walk in centres for any parents wanting to see a Plunket Nurse, out of the following facility, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm:

  • Plunket Family Centre, 5 Twigger Street, Addington, Christchurch

Car Seat Rental Services are currently operating out of the Family Centre at 5 Twigger Street, Addington. This service is open this week, Monday to Friday, from 10am to 2pm. From next week those hours will be extended to 9.30am to 2.30pm. Families wanting to discuss car seat needs should call 03 379-9266 and leave a message.

PlunketLine (0800 933 922) has experienced an increase in calls from Canterbury, including families who have relocated out of Christchurch.

Plunket will call all Christchurch families that have enrolled infants and young children, starting with the youngest (four weeks old), to establish if families are still in town. Plunket clients who have left Christchurch are encouraged to contact the local Plunket office or clinic in their new location, or to phone PlunketLine to re-establish contact with Plunket services.
