Waikato Plunket has taken out first prize in an online competition to find ‘Waikato’s Favourite Charity’.
The competition, with a cash prize of $500, was an online public search run by local online business directory HaloBiz.
Sue Hardley, Plunket’s Waikato Area Manager, says they’re thrilled with the support shown by the local community.
“When a baby is born it’s an exciting and scary time for parents and Plunket has been there, supporting New Zealanders through it, for over a century.
“We’re always looking for new ways to engage with and support parents and many are increasingly turning to social media, such as twitter and Facebook, for support and information.
“We have a very active social media community and we encourage people to join us at facebook.com/waikatoplunket
