We have a wealth of information available to you from over a hundred years of operating. Many of the questions we are asked include ‘how did Plunket begin?’ or, ‘who is Plunket’s founder?’ This along with, why we started and how we are still going strong, can be found on our history page. Another common question is ‘how is Plunket funded?’ One of our key strengths is that we have three funding streams; government, corporate and community. The different services offered by Plunket, and the different things Plunket needs to operate are funded in a variety of ways. More information on this can be found on our working in partnership page.
Plunket delivers education programs in schools across New Zealand. In developing our courses Plunket has built on the philosophy that ‘it takes a community to raise a child’. Plunket partners with schools to teach parenting skills that will ensure the health and safety of young families today and tomorrow. Our most popular course is Tots and Toddlers, where students can interact with parents and their babies.
