5 Years for Under Fives

In 2007 Plunket made a pledge to do even more to help ensure that New Zealand’s children get the best start in life.

We have an established track record and reach into the homes of 91% of all newborns and their families in New Zealand. We want to do more and we want to be even better. We will be calling on everyone to step up for children.

This is our call to action for the future of children in New Zealand.

To make a positive change for children in New Zealand Plunket pledges to:

• Provide more support for families and whānau
• Ensure Plunket enrolled families get the support they need
• Parenting education freely available to all – and on the curriculum
• Work ‘better together’ with other agencies to give families the support they need
• Strongly advocate for increased investment in the early years
