You & your child » 6 weeks to 6 months » Sleep
You may see some changes in your baby’s sleep pattern, as they become more wakeful during the day.
Your baby may start having longer sleeps at night. It is usual for babies to wake at night for feeds at this age.
If your baby is sleeping in a bassinette you may like to move them into a cot if they are waking themselves by banging their arms on the side of the bassinette.
If you are having difficulty settling your baby, this information on settling your baby and baby's sleep patterns may help. Talk to your Plunket nurse or your well child health provider for more ideas.
