Up to 1 year

Help your child feel safe and secure. Babies and children need to know there is someone who loves them and that their needs will be met as soon as possible. This means: feeding them when they are hungry, keeping them warm and dry, helping them if they are in pain, scared or upset.

Breastfeeding

We recommend that baby has breastmilk only until they are ready for and need extra food at around 6 months old. Then continue to breastfeed until they are at least 1 year or older.
