Baby Budget

The first year with your new baby is full of surprises. Plunket Baby Budget can help you plan your spending so you can know what financial changes to expect.

Our checklist offers estimates to calculate the cost of your baby’s first year. Select the items you think you'll need and type in or use the slider to set the cost from the scale of prices. Ask family, whānau and friends about their experiences. You could save money by buying second hand or from Trade Me but remember to check safety recommendations first.

Prices are approximate and will vary. Families have different needs, so the Plunket Baby Budget is to be used as an indicative guide only. You should seek professional budgeting advice before making changes to your personal finances.
