Bella Buttercup, Play Bar Addition Toys Product Recall

A product recall has been issued for Bella Buttercup, Play Bar Addition Toys - Hexx and Tinkerbell. The product has been recalled because the Hexx and Tinkerbell toys could break if the ribbon snaps causing the beads and bell (small parts) to come loose. Small parts present a potential choking hazard.

Plunket urges politicians to help save children from drowning

Plunket is urging politicians to reconsider their position on swimming pool fencing. The Building (Pools) Amendment Bill has been reported back to the House with the majority recommendation that it be passed and is now going through its second reading. Plunket National Advisor Child Safety, Sue Campbell, says passing the amendment would be a giant step backward for child safety.

Te reo Māori focus for Plunket playgroup

A passion for reclaiming te reo Māori for her whānau led mother Caren Davis to open a Plunket Te Reo playgroup in the small Northland town of Mangawhai. Te Puna Reo o Te Mangawhai has 23 children enrolled, with around 10 attending the weekly playgroup. Caren says the wonderful thing about the group is that adults and children are learning te reo and tīkanga together.
