HealthPost helps Plunket grow great kiwi kids

HealthPost, New Zealand’s online natural health and beauty shop, has generously donated over $8,500 towards Plunket Family Centres and clinics during their January ‘Charity of the Month’ campaign.

As part of their ‘Charity of the Month’ promotion, HealthPost asked customers to select a charity to donate $2 towards – an initiative that HealthPost pays for, not the customer. During January, Plunket received over 4,250 votes resulting in the $8,500 donation.

“At HealthPost we believe that the wellness of the individual is always connected to the health of the broader community and the natural environment. It is not enough to live well: we also need to give well”, says Peter Butler, Chairman of HealthPost.

Carolyn Mettrick, Plunket’s National Fundraising Manager, says Plunket is thrilled to receive the donation from HealthPost, and to be selected as charity of choice by many of their customers.

“Our Plunket Family Centres and clinics are a highly visible part of many communities around

New Zealand.  Last year we had over 248,000 contacts with children and their families/whānau in these facilities – so they are well used, and often a haven for many mums and dads.

“The up-keep of our family centre’s and clinics relies heavily on volunteer fundraising, donations and community grants – so this donation will be of great help and we are very grateful for the support we have received from HealthPost”.
