House of Dreams auction a success

Carla with Ray White chequeBirkenhead Plunket’s Beach Haven clinic will be getting an upgrade thanks to Ray White Beach Haven’s ‘House of Dreams’ community project.

Over the last year the property management and real estate firm, along with a number of sponsors and volunteers from the community, have been hard at work renovating a house in Beach Haven. BNZ, our principal sponsor, has also contributed by offering an interest-free loan and low mortgage repayments on the property.

The property sold on Saturday 21 September for $665,000, which means $145,000 will go towards the Beach Haven clinic.

“Our current clinic is tiny and there’s very little space for parents to feel comfortable during their visits,” said Raelene, the new Community Support Coordinator for Birkenhead Plunket.

“Glenn Carpenter from Ray White Beach Haven got in touch with us a year ago about the project, as he really wanted to help. The timing couldn’t have been better and he has been fantastic,” she said.

Raelene also said that Plunket Birkenhead was overwhelmed by the support of the local community, including builders, architects, painters and parents, just wanting to give a helping hand by donating materials and their time to renovate the house.
