You might remember that in December last year we asked you to help us raise money for Plunket Family Centres around New Zealand, as many were struggling with the costs and practicalities of urgently needed repairs and upkeep.
While many still need your help, the good news is that you’ve enabled us to get a lot of critical projects underway. This is a vitally important project, because our Family Centres are more than just buildings – they provide a space to connect children and parents with their communities and of course, with Plunket.
The money raised is already making a difference.
alterations are underway at our clinic in Mangere, Auckland, which had to close due to severe dampness and the health risks associated with families visiting there
in Christchurch, we’ve just received resource consent to build an additional 200 square metres of office space for the Twigger Street ‘Plunket Hub’ – a one-stop shop’ for parents in the area to gain access to all Plunket services.
These are just two examples of how your generosity has made a difference. Other centres around the country are hoping to make a start on their upgrades soon. We’ll keep you updated!
