Plunket’s Redwood Clinic will be closing on Friday 2 May in order to comply with Council earthquake regulations.
Plunket’s Canterbury Area Manager Anne Feld says, “Christchurch families have been through a lot over the last few years and it’s always disappointing to have to change things on them again. However the safety of our parents and children is our top priority so we completely understand and support the council’s decision”.
“There is no immediate concern for public safety but the Christchurch City Council has advised us that a Detailed Engineering Evaluation has shown the Redwood Clinic is under standard required to keep a building open. We won’t return to this building”, she says.
From the 5 May 2014 Redwood Plunket Clinic clients will be relocated to the Belfast Plunket Clinic on 7 Belfast Road, and the Marshland Family Health Centre, located on the corner of Preston’s and Marshlands Road which opens on 19th May.
Ms Feld says that all clients normally seen at the Redwood Clinic will be notified and given the option of which nearby Plunket room they would like their next Plunket appointment to be held.
Plunket families with any questions are invited to call the Plunket team on 366 0765
