Winter is coming! Daylight Savings ends this weekend

At 2am on Sunday 6 April clocks go back one hour.

Daylight saving can be disruptive to sleeping patterns for your little ones (and yourself). However it’s best to stick with your normal routine.

Put your child to bed at the same time as normal – so if they go to bed at 7pm now, continue to put them to bed at 7pm. They will get used to it quite quickly. It could take a few days but keeping to their normal routine is the best way to manage. If you need support and advice, call PlunketLine on 0800 933 922.

While you are turning back the clocks, also take the opportunity to check the batteries in your smoke alarms.
