NZ Mayors give Plunket a hug

Plunket’s Bear Hug Appeal was 4-10 March and New Zealanders came out in force to support us.

Plunket spokesbear ‘Big Blue’ got out and about around the country getting hugs of support from his celebrity friends and Mayors in communities all across New Zealand.

Plunket’s March Appeal is our largest national fundraising event, and we’re heavily reliant on funds raised in the community during our appeal to provide the many other services delivered by Plunket volunteers across New Zealand.

All money collected locally is used for local Plunket services such as parent support groups, playgroups, car seat services, parenting education programmes and toy libraries.

Plunket’s volunteers work in cooperation with Plunket staff to ensure every family in the community has access to the Plunket services they need.

A hug is a sign of love and appreciation so kiwi’s were encouraged to give Plunket a hug by donating money, time or sharing their skills and experience.

A big thanks to everyone to gave us a hug.
