We have regular fundraising events like our Quiz Night in October, as well as other interesting events for families throughout the year. We have just started a very exciting fundraiser called 'House of Dreams'. This is a community project being run by Ray White Beach Haven, where they will buy a house, renovate it with help from a whole lot of families and businesses in the community, sell it for a profit and the funds raised will go to Beach Haven Plunket. This is an amazing opportunity for us and we are hoping to raise over $50,000!

We also offer First Aid courses throughout the year. You can find all our upcoming events listed on our Facebook page

Some of our current vacancies include Branch President, Graphic Designer and general committee members. We also have a lot of roles available for specific projects like our 'Quiz Night' and 'House of Dreams' projects.

The Committee meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month and we welcome anyone interested in volunteering to come along and find out more about us and what we do.

Our 'Friends of Plunket' network is made up of local parents who help out on a more casual basis, circulate information about community events and assist with fundraising.

What does your Plunket volunteer committee actually do?
  • Produce newsletters throughout the year
  • Organise Parent Education sessions
  • Coordinate Coffee groups gatherings
  • Organise activities to raise money so that Plunket can maintain its facilities and services
  • Coordinate collectors for the annual Plunket Appeal Week
  • Arrange maintenance on the Plunket rooms
  • Support the Plunket nurse
  • Advocate for children in the community
How much time of your time does it take?

Plunket volunteers can give as much or as little time as they want – no contribution is too small.
