Advocacy for Māori tamariki

All Plunket-enrolled tamariki are entitled to Well Child services.

Monitoring access and uptake of Plunket services for enrolled Māori tamariki is conducted to identify where we need to act to ensure Māori tamariki have the same access to Plunket services as tamariki from other ethnicities.

Other factors that contribute toward wellbeing and health for tamariki are:

Whānau are the primary guardians (kaitiaki) of their tamariki and mokopuna, and are welcome to proactively ask their Plunket nurses or Kaiāwhina about any concerns that they have.
