Nabila first contacted PlunketLine as she wasn’t sure if her baby was feeding enough.

“As a first-time mum, I wasn’t sure what was normal and what needed extra attention, so having someone to talk to gave me a lot of comfort and confidence.

“The Plunket nurse listened patiently and reassured me. She guided me step by step on what to do, gave me practical advice for my baby’s care, and most importantly, made me feel that I wasn’t alone. That support really gave me confidence as a new parent.”

Nabila describes being a new mum as “the most beautiful journey”. She says PlunketLine made such a difference in those early months, whether she was worried about feeding, sleep, or just needed some reassurance.

“Now my baby boy is nine months old – healthy, active, and wonderfully cheeky. I often look back and think of how far we’ve come. And I know, without a doubt, that the support we received from Plunket helped us get here.”

Nabila says the PlunketLine nurse was “more than a voice on the phone – she was part of our journey.”

Nabila’s advice for other parents who may be unsure about asking for help is “don’t hesitate to call. Sometimes as parents we feel like we need to handle everything ourselves, but reaching out doesn’t mean you’re not capable. PlunketLine is there to listen, guide, and support you. Even a short conversation can make a big difference.”
