Playgroups foster children's mental health and well-being by providing opportunities for social interaction, emotional regulation, and skill development through structured and unstructured play. They offer a safe environment for children to explore their feelings, experiment with different roles, and learn how to navigate social situations, contributing to their overall emotional maturity and resilience, to help develop an understanding of emotions and social cues.

Playgroups can significantly benefit the mental health of parents. They offer a chance to connect with others, share experiences, and build support networks, which can reduce feelings of isolation and improve overall well-being. Providing opportunities for parents to learn new parenting strategies, social skills, and foster their child's development, further contributing to a more positive and confident parenting experience.

We provide refreshments for everyone, but you're also welcome to bring a drink and a snack for your tamariki. Consider bringing a change of clothes too, play can get a little messy!

This is a drop-in playgroup, no need to register. Koha appreciated if you are able to give.
