Playgroups foster children's mental health and well-being by providing opportunities for social interaction, emotional regulation, and skill development through structured and unstructured play. They offer a safe environment for children to explore their feelings, experiment with different roles, and learn how to navigate social situations, contributing to their overall emotional maturity and resilience, to help develop an understanding of emotions and social cues.
Playgroups can significantly benefit the mental health of parents. They offer a chance to connect with others, share experiences, and build support networks, which can reduce feelings of isolation and improve overall well-being. Providing opportunities for parents to learn new parenting strategies, social skills, and foster their child's development, further contributing to a more positive and confident parenting experience.
This playgroup is free to attend, no need to register - just drop in!
We provide refreshments for everyone, but please bring a snack and drink for your child if you would like to. It can also be useful to bring a change of clothes for them too!
We'd love to hear from you if you'd like to volunteer at this group. Just contact Francois on the above contact details.
