The Dunedin Maternal Wellbeing Service (DMWS) is a maternal mental health support service available for mums.
Our passion and purpose is to support women and their whānau who are adjusting to parenting and/or experiencing mild to moderate distress/depression and /or anxiety in the perinatal period.
DMWS offer a free short term service providing assessment, intervention and education and linking with community based services. Support is provided by an assessment in the home with follow up support via home visit or telephone.
Families can ask their midwife, GP or Well Child Tamariki Ora provider for a referral to the Perinatal Adjustment Programme. Self-referrals are also welcome.
