Resene

Resene and Whānau Āwhina Plunket have had a long-standing relationship providing support to Whānau Āwhina Plunket families, staff and volunteers. Together, we've worked on a range of activities including adding colour to Plunket centres, encouraging children’s creativity, and acknowledging the work of Whānau Āwhina Plunket staff and volunteers with initiatives like the Very Important Plunket Person Awards and more. Resene is proud to support New Zealand families and has been Kiwi owned and operated since it started in 1946.

The Warehouse

 

 

Since 2014 The Warehouse has partnered with Whānau Āwhina Plunket to support its commitment to providing health and wellbeing services to New Zealand children and their families. The Warehouse has fundraised for over 3,000 boxes filled with essential items for new babies, that Plunket nurses gifted to families who need it most. The Warehouse is also stocking a number of car seats with the Plunket Recommended Tick. Look out for these in stores and online.

Earthquake Commission (EQC) | Kōmihana Rūwhenua and Whānau Āwhina Plunket are working together to deliver quake safe messages to new parents. This will ensure thousands of families are getting key preparedness information that will help keep their tamariki safe. Our nurses are uniquely placed to talk with parents directly about any safety concerns which makes the relationship with EQC hugely important for the work we do.

Auckland Council

Auckland Council and Whānau Āwhina Plunket are proud to be partnering to deliver swimming lessons that are teaching techniques and vital skills for parents and children to be safe in and around water, including backyard pools, public pools and beaches.

Auckland Council Pools are offering all families the opportunity to start young with a year’s worth of subsidised swimming (50% off swimming lessons for children up to 5 years old), at specific pools.
