The Plunket Foundation – which raises funds for Whānau Āwhina Plunket’s work with children and families in need – has launched its 2021 National Lottery in partnership with the Association of Boys’ Schools New Zealand and Whānau Āwhina Plunket.
Every $10 ticket gives you the chance to win from $276,540 in prizes – including a Hyundai Ioniq Elite electric car, a Haines Hunter SF485 sports fishing boat, e-bikes from Specialized and luxury travel packages to iconic New Zealand destinations. Generous sponsors have donated most of the prizes, so more of the proceeds will help New Zealand’s tamariki.
Around 268,000 Kiwi children face life-affecting hardships such as poverty, family dysfunction and violence, limited social connections and low achievement at school, which can severely affect their chances in life.
The national lottery aims to raise $1,000,000 for the Plunket Foundation, which will directly support Whānau Āwhina Plunket’s community services work with those children and families most in need.
Individual lottery tickets are $10 each and books of five are $50 each. Buy a complete book in the same name and go into a bonus draw to win a $40,000 spa from Hotspring
