Parenting Through Separation

SCHEDULE OF COURSES IS BELOW...PLEASE REFER TO THAT BEFORE COMPLETING A REGISTRATION FORM.

Plunket provides the Parenting Through Separation (PTS) Programme in Northland, parts of Auckland, parts of Waikato/Taupo District and the West Coast of the South Island.

This programme helps parents focus on the needs of their children and how parents can communicate better with each other and with their children. It helps them understand what their children's needs are and how to make the best arrangements for them when families are separating. As a result, the programmes help many children through a stressful and difficult time in their lives. 

Please Note: Separating partners DO NOT attend the course together.

The course consists of two, two-hour long sessions or one four hour session.

PTS MOJ Information:-

The MOJ would like to encourage all participants of the Parenting Through Separation Programme to access all the resources and information they need via the new Ministry of Justice website.  The new website is compatible with smart phone technology and can be easily accessed here: www.justice.govt.nz/family/  

You will be issued with a certificate showing you have attended the programme, which you will need if you want to file papers in the Family Court to start proceedings about the care of your child/children - a Parenting Order.

Please arrange for childcare for any children during your course participation as their attendance may make it difficult for you and other participants to take part in the discussions.

Cost: FREE - but you MUST complete an enrolment form and you will receive confirmation of your attendance prior to the course you are enrolling to attend.
