Plunket reaches 3,000 vaccinations as measles cases rise

5 November 2025

Whānau Āwhina Plunket is proud to have delivered more than 3,000 vaccinations through our immunisation project. That is only six weeks after reaching 2,000 vaccinations, showing how quickly the project is progressing.

Plunket is working closely with Health New Zealand to make it easier for whānau to get vaccinated in places they already know and trust. Immunisation is one of the best ways we can protect pēpi, tamariki and whānau from serious illness.

As part of our response, the MMR vaccine is now available to the whole whānau (tamariki, rangatahi and adults) across all our 20 immunisation sites.

We are encouraging whānau to check their MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) immunisation status. Check out our immunisation sites to find a clinic near you or call our admin line on 0800 184 803. You can also book with your GP or pharmacy, or visit bookmyvaccine.nz.

This has been an ongoing collaboration with Health New Zealand and local health providers to help keep our communities safe. Together, Whānau Āwhina Plunket is helping protect the next generation of tamariki across Aotearoa.
