Since it was established in 2008, the Plunket Foundation has contributed over $4.5 million to support the work of Whānau Āwhina Plunket, helping tamariki across New Zealand thrive from the very beginning.
The Plunket Foundation plays an important role in supporting Plunket’s work and strengthening the wellbeing of our communities in the early years. Welcomed into 80% of homes with newborns across New Zealand, Plunket is uniquely placed to make a lasting difference for children and families.
What is an endowment fund?
Many of the world’s most respected charities, hospitals, and universities have endowment funds that help them continue their work well into the future. These funds provide a steady source of income, offering security and helping organisations carry on supporting their communities, even in uncertain times.
Each year, income from the Plunket Foundation’s endowment fund supports Whānau Āwhina Plunket. This helps ensure that families can continue to access the trusted, much-loved care that has supported New Zealand families for many years.
By contributing to the endowment fund - either through a donation or a gift in your Will - you’re helping protect and sustain this support over time. Your gift will make a lasting difference for children in New Zealand, now and into the future.
Support the Plunket Foundation
One of the best ways you can support the future health and wellbeing of New Zealand’s children is to donate or leave a gift in your Will to the Plunket Foundation.
A gift, no matter the size, is a huge investment in New Zealand’s future.
