Alison Prins

Alison was elected to the National Board in November 2014.  She was previously the Area President of the Hawke’s Bay Area Board.  Alison also project managed the build of the Hawke’s Bay Community Hub. She has many years experience as a volunteer for Plunket and other organisations.

Alison is currently the Group Welfare Manager for Hawke's Bay Civil Defence Emergency Management Group. She is responsible for planning and responding to the wellbeing of people and animals in emergencies. Key to this role is developing relationship with and leading across multiple government and non-government agencies to deliver coordinated services and support to communities.

She is the mother of three children and lives in rural Hawke’s Bay where she runs a farming and grape growing business with her husband.

It is important to Alison that every child in New Zealand has the opportunity to reach their potential. Plunket can be instrumental in this supporting families to get their children the best possible start in those critical early years.
