Facebook "Pixel tags"

These are small files that are placed on our pages. Facebook Pixel tracking helps us understand the effectiveness of Facebook Ads, and how visitors use our website by reporting on the actions people take after viewing those ads. No personal information is collected by Plunket during the use these pixels.

 

Credit card security

We work diligently to protect the security of your personal information, including credit card information. We protect your credit card information during transmission by using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information when transmitted over the internet.

When you make a donation via committed giving, your transaction is processed through ANZ Bank E-Gate Secure Payment Gateway, where we safely and securely use your credit card. Plunket only receives credit card information and details when you sign up to a regular payment.

When making a donation online, your credit card information is protected during transmission from the Givealittle Limited page using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information when transmitted over the internet. When you choose to make a donation online, you will be taken directly to the Plunket donation page, served by Givealittle Limited, where you can safely and securely use your credit card. Credit card donations are processed by DPS.

Details may be held by Direct Payment Solutions (DPS) (please review their Privacy Policy). Givealittle Limited retains only a portion of your credit card information in order to identify your transaction if required post donation. This information is not complete and is not able to be used.

It is important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your password and to your computer.

Information transmitted over the internet is inherently insecure. However, we have physical, electronic and managerial processes in place to protect the information we collect via our website or email. The information you send is passed through a secure server using encryption technology. All stored customer information is protected with secure passwords, user log-ons and other security procedures.

We will take all reasonable steps to maintain the security and integrity of your personal information including:

  • the use of computer access passwords
  • locked storage and transport facilities.

Car GPS

GPS is installed in all Plunket vehicles and is collecting trip and activity data at all times. The data collected is analysed over time and kilometres travelled and used to understand vehicle use and driving behaviours.

  • Improve driver safety by identifying drivers who may be at greater risk of a serious incident and working with them to improve their safety on the road.
  • Make decisions on where vehicles are needed.
  • Ensure we have the right number of vehicles to deliver services now and in the future.
  • Increase fuel efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

Device GPS

GPS information in individually-issued Plunket phones, portable computing and devices is monitored and collected. This information is collected for the purpose of tracking, monitoring and securing the device itself. It is not collected to monitor those issued the devices. However, in an emergency where staff safety might be at risk it might be used to try and locate a specific individual.

Video surveillance

Your image might be collected by CCTV if your visit a Plunket property. This will be sign-posted to alert you to the presence of security cameras. Video is collected for the sole purpose of security. Monitoring and investigating security events around Plunket property and people.

On-premise sign in systems

Manual and electronic sign in systems will retain information provided. This is collected and used only health and safety purposes.

Plunket network and wifi

All Plunket network traffic, both internal and provided guest access is monitored for performance, improvement and to ensure that the network traffic is compliant with Plunket policies, including but not limited to Acceptable Use, Information Security and Privacy Policies, and NZ law. This includes all web browsing and email traffic, personal and professional.
